The Renault Kangoo, is at first sight an unusual vehicle to learn to drive in, but please do not be mislead by its appearance. This vehicle has attributes that our clients find create a positive and enjoyable driving experience.
Air conditioned, and with exceptional visibilty from an higher than normal driving position, large door mirrors, light controls and power steering.
With the road wheels set on the corners of the vehicle, this then coupled with the vertical rear corners of the bodywork combine to make reversing an easier experience by helping your spatial awareness.
Our clients continue to comment on the
ease of driving the Kangoo and quickly
gain confidence in their driving abilities,
and roadcraft as a direct result.
ADAPTIONS
The picture to the upper right shows the bracket for the single hand control of the steering wheel (the two pictures below this show the ball and cradle hand units that attach to this bracket), note also the long thin righthanded lever to operate the left hand indicator stalk (not seen) and the hand operated accelerator (pull) brake (push) handgrip to the right of the steering wheel which operates the accelerator. Note the indicator switch on top of this grip.
The picture to the left shows both the accelerator pedals. The larger pedal in the middle is the brake. Whichever one is in use ,left or right, the other one swings up out of the way.
Here on the left we have a right angled hand attachment to assist in releasing the handbrake.
Seat pads can be provided to aid a comfortable and safe driving position.
On the left are the additional door mirrors that allow the driver, and importantly the instructor to see into blind spots.
Not shown is the panoramic internal rearview mirror.
